Cabbage fritters – a recipe for success
Crispy crust, soft inside, and the aroma of fresh cabbage – all this awaits you in these exceptional fritters. Preparing them is extremely simple, and the final result will certainly delight everyone, even the pickiest gourmets.
Ingredients:
- 130g of flour,
- 2 eggs,
- 175ml of milk,
- 1 onion,
- 1.25ml of baking powder,
- 280g of chopped white cabbage,
- salt and pepper to taste,
- oil for frying.
Preparation:
- Start by shredding the cabbage and cooking it in salted water until it softens. Then, thoroughly drain it and let it cool down.
- In the meantime, prepare the batter for the fritters. Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Prepare a smooth batter from the yolks, flour, milk, and baking powder – similar to the one used for pancakes.
- Add finely chopped onion and cooled cabbage to the batter. Season with salt and pepper according to your preferences.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff, then gently fold them into the prepared batter, giving the fritters lightness.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan. Spoon portions of the batter onto the pan, and fry the fritters until golden on both sides, crispy and appetisingly browned.
