To effectively eliminate ants from the garden, it is best to go to the source of the problem. Therefore, once you find their nest, pour boiling water over it. You can repeat this process multiple times – until you notice they have disappeared.
Effective and cheap methods to get rid of ants
If you have a little washing-up liquid and oil at home, you will manage with ants without any problem. This is one of those reliable methods for fighting insects. Mix half a teaspoon of washing-up liquid with a tablespoon of oil and a litre of water. Then, pour the resulting mixture into a spray bottle.
To get rid of ants, spray the prepared solution on them. Once you've done that, pour the rest of the mixture into their nest. The mixture will cause the ants to suffocate quickly.
The last but equally effective trick to eliminate ants is using white vinegar. If you have it in your kitchen cupboards, you will surely get rid of ants quickly. Pour a small amount of white vinegar directly into the ants' nest. This will kill them at the source.
