According to the Spanish Guardia Civil, the man was found by three search and rescue team members, who then contacted the aviation unit, which transported him to a nearby mountain shelter.
On Monday around 6:00 PM (18:00), the Interpol office in Manchester contacted the Spanish authorities and provided the coordinates from the electronic bracelet the man was wearing. Experts from the French police specialising in mountain rescue also participated in locating the tourist.
It was determined that the man was walking between Lizara and Candanchú's mountain shelters.

Tourists are perishing in the Spanish Pyrenees. this is another such case
In 2021, the body of 37-year-old Esther Dingley, who had gone missing nearly seven months earlier, was found in the Pyrenees. The French prosecutor leading the investigation into her disappearance determined that during a solo crossing of the Pyrenees, she fell from a height of 30 metres (98 feet) and ruled her death accidental.
Her last message was a selfie she took at the summit of Pic de Sauvegarde and sent to her partner, Daniel Colegate, in November 2020.
Authorities believed that Dingley, an experienced hiker, slipped and fell from a steep slope near the summit of Port de la Glère at a height of 700 metres (2,297 feet).
Daniel Colegate did everything he could to find her.
