The Gendarmerie, responsible for safety during Brazilian league matches, decided they wanted to be discussed worldwide. After Centro Oeste club's away victory against Gremio Anapolis 2-1, two players exchanged words and shoved. The fans shouted, supporting their athletes. Suddenly, a uniformed officer entered the field, intending to calm the situation. What he decided to do shocked everyone present at the Jonas Duarte Stadium. He stood between the players and then shot one of them.

"A horrible, unbelievable and criminal act by someone who should value the safety and integrity of the people, who were there at the Jonas Duarte Stadium. The club informed the media that the player is not at risk of leg amputation. The Gendarmerie has decided to launch an investigation into the matter.
