Chocolate cake? The first thought is brownie. This cake has gained extraordinary popularity worldwide. Everyone manages to bake it. It has a strong chocolate aroma and is pleasantly moist. It is precisely on the wave of this success that the blondie cake was created.
American concept
Blondie is not yet as famous as brownie. However, these cakes are remarkably similar. The key difference is that instead of dark chocolate, white chocolate is used. Make no mistake, this dessert will particularly appeal to those who like very sweet bakes with a delicate chocolate hint. Such bakes are successful in the United States, and that's where the concept of blondie originated, just like the brownie.
Chocolate, but..
The main secret of blondie is white chocolate. Its use gives it a unique taste and aroma. Recipes often include additions like nuts or fruits. In some recipes, you can also find a hint of vanilla, which further highlights the taste of white chocolate. A popular practice is also adding peanut butter. And this is the recipe I propose to you today.
Blondie will be lighter
American-style chocolate cakes have a characteristic, quite heavy and moist texture. Some say they resemble... a soggy bottom cake. To prevent the cake from being too moist and to achieve the right structure, you need to stick to the recipe and measure the ingredients precisely. What else differentiates blondie from brownie? The former involves adding baking powder, which makes the cake lighter.
