- "If anyone believes that Putin will stop at Ukraine, I assure you, he will not," President of the United States, Joe Biden, said, initiating his address and urging Congress to approve an aid package for Ukraine.

Biden's address: He spoke about Putin

He likened the current moment in history to 1941, when Franklin Roosevelt attempted to "awaken" Congress in the face of an unparalleled threat to America.

- "I am here to awaken Congress and to alert Americans that this is not an ordinary moment," Joe Biden stated, declaring that America today faces threats both from abroad and within.

He criticized those in Congress who obstruct aid to Ukraine, as well as former President Donald Trump, for his inclination not to assist America's allies or even to encourage Russia to "do whatever it wants".

- "My message to President Putin (...) is simple: we will not back down," Biden declared.
