Biden anticipates Gaza ceasefire by next Monday amid ongoing negotiations

On Monday, Israel furnished the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague with a report featuring actions enacted in response to the Tribunal's judgment. This demanded Israel take all necessary steps to halt death, destruction, and any acts of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

An Israeli official, who disclosed this information, did not reveal the report's content, which was lodged just hours before the timeline imposed by the ICJ, reports Reuters agency.

The ruling Hamas in the Gaza Strip launched an attack on Israel on 7th October last year, resulting in approximately 1,200 fatalities, mostly civilians. Israel's ongoing countermeasures have already caused over 29,000 Palestinian deaths according to the Gaza Strip's health department. Almost 90 percent of the over 2 million residents of this region have been compelled to abandon their homes.
