When autumn arrives, and we crave a cake, the first thought is often apple cake. Apple desserts are the most popular at this time of the year. Delicious and aromatic, they perfectly complement the autumn atmosphere. Moreover, some of them can be ready more quickly than expected. Here's one such recipe.

Best tart ones

Everyone loves apple desserts, and hardly anyone refuses a second serving, especially when they're warm. They lift the mood, even while still in the oven. The pleasant aroma of apples and spices makes autumn more enjoyable. Tart varieties like Renetta, Antonovka, or Gloster best suit such desserts. Among the sweeter ones, Spartans and Ligols work well. This recipe requires just a few fruits and typical cake ingredients.

But it's simple

Even those who have never baked a cake can manage this dessert effortlessly. The ingredients are measured with a spoon and mixed with a mixer, which is why it's often called "10 Spoon Apple Cake." Meanwhile, the apples just need to be peeled and cut into thin slices; there's no need to sauté them. They can simply be seasoned with cinnamon.

10 Spoon Apple Cake

Ingredients:

  • 10 tablespoons of plain flour
  • 10 tablespoons of oil
  • 10 tablespoons of sugar
  • 3 apples
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Cinnamon to taste

Method:

  1. Peel the apples and remove the core. Cut into thin slices. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with cinnamon, then mix.
  2. You can place the apples at the bottom of a baking tin lined with baking paper, approximately 8 inches in diameter, or arrange them on top of the cake.
  3. Combine the plain flour, oil, sugars, eggs, and baking powder in a bowl. Mix everything only until it's combined. The batter should be quite thick and uniform.
  4. Pour the batter over the prepared apples. Now is the time to arrange the fruit on top of the cake if you prefer.
  5. Put the cake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F and bake for about 45 minutes.
  6. Remove the apple cake from the oven. If you wish for the apples to be on top, turn the cake over while it's still warm but not hot.
