First, a loud bang, followed by the groans of frightened fans. Alison Gibson's failed dive at the Olympic Games in Paris looked dangerous, but fortunately, the athlete was unharmed. However, she had to contend with a score of 0.0 - the lowest possible score.

Alison Gibson, an American diver, had an unfortunate start at the Olympics in Paris. During her first dive from a springboard suspended at a height of 3 metres, Gibson accidentally struck the board with her feet, resulting in a minimal score of 0.0.

This accident practically ruined her chances of further competition. The incident caused a stir among the spectators and commentators at the pool.

Despite a painful start, the 25-year-old athlete from Texas did not give up and continued the competition, performing four more dives. The best of them earned her 68 points. Ultimately, Gibson finished last among 28 participants, scoring 198 points.

According to "The Sun," this incident became one of the most moving moments in Paris. Despite the failed start, Gibson's determination to finish the competition gained worldwide recognition from fans.

The Olympics will only last until 11 August. This is the last chance for all athletes to win the coveted gold medal. Diving is one of the disciplines that bring great emotions. The athletes are well-prepared, allowing for a high level of competition.

Unfortunately, there are also very dangerous situations where fans fear for the athletes' health. Italian Mai Biginelli almost hit her head on the platform during the spins in the air. A BBC commentator demanded that the judges punish the athlete, but they refrained from doing so and showcased the Italian's feat. It is worth noting that diving has been included in the Olympic Games for 120 years.
