About a thousand animals died in a fire in the capital of Thailand. The fire broke out at one of the most famous markets - the Chatuchak market.
The fire at the famous Chatuchak weekend market in Bangkok broke out in the morning on Tuesday, June 11th, in the section where animals are sold. The fire quickly spread, covering an area of about 1,300 square meters.

Firefighters managed to control the fire within an hour. However, during this time about a thousand pets died, including cats and dogs, snakes, birds, and rabbits, which were kept in cages and locked in stores.

Some shopkeepers live on the market premises, but it is unknown how many were there when the fire broke out. The fire destroyed about 100 stalls, but according to the authorities, there were no human casualties.
