A train loaded with tanks is heading towards Ukraine. However, they will not be used by Ukrainians but by Russians. Their army has recently been bolstered with another delivery of T-90M Proryv vehicles, as reported by the Militarny portal, citing a statement from the Uralvagonzavod corporation, responsible for the production of these tanks. The company has announced an increase in production.
Many pieces of information provided by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information warfare conducted by the Russian Federation.
The Russians regularly reinforce their army with additional deliveries of crucial military equipment. Recently, their defence industry reported the transfer of two Su-34 aircraft to the front, which is a response to the recent appearance of F-16 fighters in Ukraine.
The Russian Federation is also strengthening its ground forces, often reporting on large shipments of tanks or armoured vehicles heading towards Ukraine. Uralvagonzavod now reports that the Russian army has just received a new batch of T-90M Proryv tanks. The corporation notes that the machines have been equipped with electronic warfare systems against drones - a weapon that has been one of the most troublesome for both sides of the conflict in recent months.
Unfortunately, the exact number of machines that the Russians prepared for battle is not known. However, the film shows that there are at least seven T-90M Proryv tanks on the train. It can be assumed that there are more in reality, especially considering historical deliveries, in which even 23 units were sent in a single transport.
Modern Russian tank
The T-90M Proryv is one of the newest and most technologically advanced tanks in the Russian army's arsenal. The pride of the Russian defence industry, it arouses both admiration and controversy. Although it has impressive combat capabilities, on the battlefield, it often falls short of expectations.
The T-90M has a 2A46M-5 125 mm cannon and a Kalina fire control system. Additional armaments include 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm machine guns, which enhance its offensive capabilities. The tank is protected by Relikt reactive armour, which aims to protect the crew from attacks using drones and missiles directed at the tank. The maximum speed of Russia's "Putin's pride" is about 70 km/h, allowing for quick movement on the battlefield.
