Although she caught the public's attention almost from the start of her career, Michelle Pfeiffer opted for privacy regarding her marriages, marrying twice away from the public eye. Her first marriage lasted under seven years, and she entered her second marriage ten months after their first date. As Michelle Pfeiffer celebrates her 66th birthday, we look back at her romantic history.

Pfeiffer is renowned for her acting, film production, and model roles. She achieved fame through several iconic roles, including her performance in "The Witches of Eastwick" alongside Cher, Susan Sarandon, and Jack Nicholson. Her celebrated filmography also features "Scarface," "Dangerous Liaisons," "Batman Returns," "The Age of Innocence," "Dangerous Minds," "Stardust," and "Hairspray."

In 1981, Pfeiffer married actor Peter Horton, but by October 1988, they divorced. Pfeiffer later admitted it was a bad marriage, acknowledging the decision to marry was made too hastily. However, after five years of dating, she found true love with a well-known director whom she met on a blind date.

Together for over 30 years

Michelle Pfeiffer and David E. Kelley met on a blind date set up by a mutual friend. Pfeiffer had already secured three Oscar nominations at the time, while Kelley was a celebrated screenwriter and producer with two Emmy Awards.

Their first date was far from upscale; choosing a laid-back setting, they went to a bowling alley. However, Pfeiffer considered introducing Kelley to her sister Dedee, their mutual friend who organized the date and advised against it, sensing that Pfeiffer and Kelley were a perfect match.

They raised two children together

Their relationship took a unique turn from the start, as Pfeiffer was in the adoption process when she met Kelley. Nevertheless, Kelley embraced the situation. Convinced of their strong bond, they decided to co-parent. They welcomed their daughter, Claudia Rose, a few months into their relationship.

Ten months later, they were married. It was Kelley's first marriage and Pfeiffer's second. Nine months after their wedding, their son John Henry was born. His arrival marked a significant period for Pfeiffer, prompting her to prioritize her family life and take a break from acting.

For nearly three decades, Michelle and David have enjoyed a successful marriage grounded in principles such as regular Saturday dates and a clear division between their personal and professional lives.

They also believe in expressing mutual respect and affection through small gestures. Nonetheless, Michelle attributes a part of their relationship success to fortune, believing luck played a role in bringing them together and helping them build a happy family life.

What does Michelle Pfeiffer look like today?

In recent years, Pfeiffer has embraced a more natural appearance, often seen without heavy makeup. Her Instagram showcases this natural beauty, earning her praise from fans who remark that Pfeiffer is "pure gold" and seemingly "does not age." At 66, it's clear she still looks remarkable.
