According to American critics, the most "out there" movie of the year will hit the screens in August—"Blink Twice." The dramedy, a comedic thriller, was directed by popular actress Zoe Kravitz and stars Channing Tatum and Naomi Ackie.

She wrote the script, found producers, and then directed. At 35 years old, Zoe Kravitz is not afraid of challenges. Initially, she was primarily known as the daughter of famed musician Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet. However, as she began to achieve success in Hollywood, she became more popular than her parents among both her own and the younger generations.

Zoe Kravitz made her screen debut in 2007 at the age of 19. She appeared in the film The Brave One alongside Jodie Foster. Later came "X-Men: First Class," the "Divergent" series, "Mad Max: Fury Road," the "Fantastic Beasts" series, the "Big Little Lies" series, the HBO Max hit "Kimi," and the box office megahit "Batman," where she played Catwoman.

In 2020, a ten-episode series called "High Fidelity" (inspired by the movie "High Fidelity") was created. In it, she not only played the lead role but also wrote the screenplay. The successful series allowed the actress to engage in further creative projects.

"Blink Twice"

Zoe Kravitz's directorial debut was the cinema production "Blink Twice". Its characters include a billionaire from the tech industry, Slater King (Channing Tatum), and a waitress named Frida (Naomi Ackie), whom he meets at a fundraising gala. King invites Frida to join him and his friends for a dream vacation on his private island, a true paradise on Earth. Wild nights mix with sunny days. The party is on, and everyone has a great time. However, at some point, strange things start to happen.

Journalists in the States who have seen parts of the movie struggle to assign it to a specific genre, as it might be the most 'out there' movie of the year.

Will the movie interest viewers? So far, its trailer has caught their attention, having been viewed over 5 million times online. The world premiere of "Blink Twice" is scheduled for 23 August at 12 AM GMT.
