On Sunday, President Zelensky highlighted the increasing collaboration between Russia and North Korea, pointing out troubling signs of joint actions by these countries.

We see an increasing alliance between Russia and regimes like North Korea. This is no longer just about transferring weapons. It is actually about transferring people from North Korea to the occupying military forces – stated Zelensky.

According to Zelensky, there is already evidence that the North Korean regime is sending its soldiers to Moscow.

This situation was also reported on Saturday by the American Institute for the Study of War, which stated that thousands of North Korean soldiers are undergoing training in Russia. It is likely that these troops will be deployed in Ukraine – wrote ISW analysts. In this context, there are concerns that this new military force could be used in direct confrontations on the volatile Ukrainian front.

Representatives of Ukrainian intelligence services are also monitoring developments and analysing possible consequences. According to a source in the “Washington Post”, North Korean officers are present in Ukraine, observing Russian military actions in occupied territories. However, at the moment, Ukrainian military intelligence has not confirmed any information about the presence of North Korean combat units actively operating in Ukraine.

Zelensky emphasised the need to continue support from international allies. - Obviously, in such circumstances, our relations with our partners need to be developed. The frontline needs more support – the President of Ukraine noted.
