Abby Selby, a young woman from Great Britain, is a McDonald's worker. The 20-year-old regularly posts videos on TikTok, sharing snippets of her daily life with her followers. Recently, she touched upon the most common grievances from customers.

What issues do customers usually have at McDonald's?

It wouldn't take much to persuade anyone that a job in the catering industry isn't a walk in the park. Abby Selby, the 20-year-old employee, confessed in a TikTok video that clashes with customers are almost a daily event. She works at McDonald's, frequently handling orders at the drive-thru section.

Customers frequently attempt to deceive the employees for extra food, often exhibiting a lack of understanding about certain policies that are beyond the employees' control. Abby mentioned that many customers fail to grasp that breakfast is only served until 11 AM. Beyond that, they not only dispute the restrictions of the menu but also induce guilt in the employees by suggesting that their kids will go hungry as a consequence of the employees' greed.

It is also common for customers to return with cold food, requesting a replacement. This could be understandable if it wasn't for the fact that they raise these complaints a considerable amount of time after receiving their orders.

Customers attribute their own mistakes to the employees

Recently, McDonald's introduced a new feature for their customers. Utilising their drive-thru service, customers can order food from select restaurants, saving them from prolonged waiting times. To do this, they simply need to use the restaurant's official app.

However, Abby Selby mentioned that customers often fail to select the correct collection location. When they receive the notification that their order is ready, they drive up to the restaurant. It is only then they realise that their food is at an entirely different location, often a restaurant on the other side of the town.
