Russian media report the death of Yevgeny Mikhailovich Putin. The cousin of Vladimir Putin, as reported by IvanoNews service, turned 90 at the end of February. The causes and circumstances of his death remain unknown.

The high-ranking Putin family

Yevgeny Putin's family lived in Ivanovo until 2002. After his cousin Vladimir came to power, they moved to Moscow and settled in Suzdal. Yevgeny Putin, as the Russian portals write, was a well-known urologist who, in the years 1970-1990, "got patients back on their feet". However, this is not primarily what foreign services focus on.

The deceased Putin's son, Mikhail, serves as a vice-president of the Gazprom board and sits on the company's board. The News Telegraf service, meanwhile, recalls a statement by the Kremlin spokesman, who declared him a "distant relative" of Vladimir Putin. As Dmitry Peskov once stated, the dictator does not maintain any contact with him.

Meanwhile, the daughter of the deceased Yevgeny, Anna, is the wife of the governor of the Kemerovo region and the owner of one of the largest coal companies in Russia (shares received from her husband in 2018).

The funeral of Yevgeny Mikhailovich Putin took place on Sunday, March 10.
