Neowin elaborates on the details. Error 0x8002802B affects the Windows Update Agent API, which may be utilised by advanced users running PowerShell or VBScript scripts in certain instances. Due to this error, users receive empty responses to queries about specific objects that do not accurately reflect reality.

As a result, the scripts cannot function correctly. Microsoft temporarily resolved the issue using the Known Issue Rollback option to retract the faulty patch from computers. The glitch may appear in Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2 versions after installing the optional KB5039302 update from mid-June. Given its nature, it should not be a problem for most typical users.

However, users might struggle with other Windows 11 errors caused by the KB5039302 update. According to Windows Latest, known issues include those related to the taskbar and a system reboot loop, which is highly likely on computers with virtualisation software installed.

It is unknown when the issues will be fully resolved in Windows 11. Practically, it is expected this will not happen before the second half of the month when subsequent optional updates are usually released via Windows Update.
