- The situation is constantly fluxing. Hence, allocating aid doesn't guarantee its delivery. If what's allocated to us doesn't arrive, we lose people and territories, Umerov said during the 'Ukraine. 2024' forum in Kyiv.

Minister Umerov underscored that history hasn't seen a war win without air superiority. He pointed out that Ukraine is doing everything feasible and beyond to gain a victory. However, without the prompt delivery of weapons, frontline operations are obstructed.

Ukraine triples weapons production

Oleksandr Kamyshin, Ukraine's Minister for Strategic Sectors of Industry, announced that in 2023, the country's defence industry succeeded in tripling its weapons production. There are around 500 businesses generating weapons in Ukraine, as announced by the government representative.

- We are referring to roughly 100 state-owned corporations, as well as 400 private companies. In 2024, we aim to substantially boost ammunition production - Kamyshin declared. The Minister's address during the "Ukraine. 2024" forum was cited by Reuter's agency and the RBK-Ukraine portal.

In the past few months, numerous reports have emerged in Ukrainian and Western media, expressing concerns about the massive requirements of Ukraine's armed forces, specifically in regards to artillery ammunition.

Major Tanel Tatsi, the commander of Estonia's artillery forces, emphasised that the lack of artillery and anti-aircraft shells compelled the Ukrainian army to retreat from Avdiivka in the Donetsk region in mid-February.
