It was this exact myth that notable TikToker, Dr Katie, aimed to address. Regrettably, the sight that greeted her after cutting open her daughter's favourite giraffe toy left her utterly distraught.

Who would've thought that toys designed for infants could harbour so many secrets. These secrets were uncovered by TikToker and doctor, Dr Katie. She resolved to cut open one of her daughter's treasured toys. In the video, she admits that her little one had not only handled the toy for several months, but also frequently chewed on it to help soothe the discomfort of teething.

Hearing diverging views about rubber toys, Dr Katie decided to investigate what was concealed inside her daughter's favourite giraffe toy. She sliced the rubber toy open with scissors and what she encountered within left her feeling sickened.

Inside, there was mould, water, and dirt. Dr Katie confessed that after making this horrifying discovery, she disposed of all similar toys, as well as the scissors she utilised to cut the toy open.
