The Ukrainian Army struck the Russian military airport and ammunition depots in Morozovsk, Rostov Oblast, as well as several fuel storage facilities in the aggressor's country. At least two of these facilities caught fire, the General Staff in Kyiv reported on Saturday.

"Information about the destruction of air defence systems and enemy aircraft is being collected. The forces carried out the task and means of the Security Service of Ukraine and Ukrainian Military Intelligence in cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the staff stated on Telegram.

The destruction of the base is highly valuable for the Ukrainians. It is home to the 559th Bomber Aviation Regiment, equipped with Su-34 aircraft. Due to their missions, these machines are among the most valuable assets for the Russians.

On Sunday, Radio Svoboda published satellite images showing the attack's aftermath. The photographs show the complete destruction of the depots. The photos also indicate the total destruction of the parking areas where the Russian Su-34 aircraft were located, reports Radio Svoboda.

Recordings of the attack also appeared online. They depict a massive explosion accompanied by secondary explosions, suggesting hits on ammunition depots.
