Ukrainian military intelligence conveyed information about Saturday's combined reconnaissance and military forces' success. A Ukrainian intelligence group named "Geese-9", operating in cooperation with soldiers of the 15th separate artillery intelligence brigade "Black Forest" detected and damaged a Russian radar station marked as 48Y6 K-1 "Podlet".

The radar station 48Y6-K1 "Podlet" is a technologically advanced device that is universal, mobile, and semiconductor-based. Its triaxial phased array enables comprehensive surveillance and detection of aerial targets at low and very low altitudes, even in difficult jamming conditions.

Ukrainian intelligence highlighted that the "Podlet" radar is a relatively new Russian invention, which has been used only in the aggressor's army since 2015.

Over £4 million. A costly loss for the Russians

The military intelligence bulletin also contained information on the enemy's use of this system. "The enemy used this system to identify and transmit coordinates of the target to Russian ground-to-air missile systems S-300/S-400 (...). The antenna power unit and the diesel station that powered the complex were effectively hit by fire, " the bulletin says.

HUR also emphasized that the cost of such a radar is over 700 million rubles, which approximately amounts to over £4 million.
