"This morning in the east, during enemy bombing raids on our troops' positions, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine simultaneously destroyed three Russian fighters: two Su-34s and one Su-35. Thank you for your work!" Mykola Oleshchuk, the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, wrote on News Portal X.

Reuters notes, "If the information is true, it would mean a loss for Moscow of technologically advanced machines worth over £76 million."

Significant losses for Russia: Two Su-34s and an Su-35 destroyed

Russian sources initially did not confirm the losses. However, Russian military observers reported earlier about the positioning of Ukrainian air defence systems near Avdiivka, in the area where the Russians are rumoured to have lost the planes, according to the dpa agency.

On Friday night, Greenwich Time, the Ukrainian army confirmed the withdrawal of forces from Avdiivka, located in the Donetsk region in the eastern part of the country, which is under Russian siege.
