Ukrainian forces bolster positions in Kursk as conflict escalates
Volodymyr Zelensky provided the latest information on Saturday about the situation in the Kursk region in western Russia. The Ukrainian army is strengthening its positions in the occupied territories, he announced on the Telegram platform.

"Report from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi. The frontline remains our top priority, particularly the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions. The Kursk region operation—we are strengthening our positions and replenishing "exchange fund" for Ukraine," announced the President of Ukraine after meeting with the general.
"I am grateful to each of our warriors," added Zelensky. Ukrainian media reported on Thursday about the capture of 102 Russian soldiers in the Kursk region.

During the discussion with the commander of the Ukrainian army, Zelensky also touched on the battles taking place within Ukraine itself. The Ukrainian president said that in the vicinity of Toretsk and Pokrovsk, the invaders have carried out dozens of attacks on our positions within the last day. However, as he assured, the soldiers are doing everything to repel the attacks, thanks to which the situation is under control.
