Satellite images of the oil terminal in occupied Crimea, which burned after a Ukrainian attack for over five days, indicate its almost complete destruction, reported the analytical project Cyberboroshno.

A total of 12 tanks were affected, and eight were completely destroyed. The buildings on the facility's territory also burned down.

Attack on the fuel base in Crimea

Explosions and fire began on 7th October. Ukrainian forces struck the largest oil terminal in Crimea using drones.

A fire that cannot be extinguished

As the media reported, citing specialists, a fire of this type cannot be extinguished. One can only wait for it to burn out completely and stop on its own.

The stabilisation of the situation was only announced by the Russian occupying authorities on Saturday, six days after the attack. A state of emergency was declared in the region.

Evacuated one thousand people

The evacuation of approximately 1,000 nearby residents was necessary. Despite assurances from the authorities that the concentration levels of harmful substances were not exceeded, residents complained of various ailments, from nausea to coughing.

The oil terminal in Feodosia is the largest Russian terminal in Crimea in terms of handling oil products, used, among other things, for the needs of the Russian army. Ukrainian drones already attacked this base in March.
