"According to confirmed information, yesterday (Friday) missile forces, in cooperation with units of the Ukrainian Navy, significantly damaged four launchers of the Triumf air defence system," the General Staff announced on Telegram.

In addition, in the port of Sevastopol, the Black Sea Fleet submarine of the Russian Federation "Rostov-on-Don" was successfully hit. As a result of the hit, the submarine sank on the spot, it was reported.

The General Staff explained that the submarine B-237 "Rostov-on-Don" (Kilo class in NATO classification) is one of four Kilo-class submarines equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles.

The unit was commissioned on 26 December 2014. On 13 September 2023, the submarine suffered significant damage due to a Ukrainian missile attack. The estimated value of this submarine is £247 million.

"The destruction of the submarine 'Rostov-on-Don' once again proves that there is no safe place for the Russian fleet in the Ukrainian territorial waters of the Black Sea," stated the General Staff of Ukraine.
