Ubisoft, a well-known video game producer, has announced a restructuring that will impact 185 employees. According to "Reuters," the company will close the studio in Leamington Spa and reorganise units in Düsseldorf and Stockholm. The changes aim to optimise expenses and focus on key projects.

Challenges for the video game giant. Ubisoft at a crossroads

Ubisoft has long struggled with problems such as production delays and poor sales performance. The game Star Wars Outlaws did not meet sales expectations. In December 2023, the company closed studios in San Francisco and Osaka, laying off 277 people.

Despite the difficulties, Ubisoft is preparing to release a new game in the Assassin’s Creed series. Assassin’s Creed Shadows, scheduled for 20 March, aims to help the company regain its market position. Founded in 1986, Ubisoft is known for popular series like Assassin's Creed and Far Cry.
