Two Ukrainian soldiers, reported to be members of the 25th Battalion of the 47th Mechanized Brigade, have dismantled a Russian assault group consisting of nine individuals near Avdiivka. This area has been a hotspot of heavy fighting for months, with the Russian forces making slow advancements.
A video shared on the "Warlife 18+" channel on the Telegram service captured the brave act of these two Ukrainian soldiers as they repelled an attack by Russian assault troops in the trenches near Avdiivka, underscoring the apparent lack of training among the Russian forces when faced with the staunch defense of the Ukrainians.
The footage, captured from a drone, showcases the Ukrainian soldiers as they expertly eliminate enemy targets, using grenades and finishing off their adversaries, who stood no chance against the duo's valour.
The 47th Mechanized Brigade is considered among the most formidable units of the Ukrainian military, operating around Avdiivka and striking fear into Russian ranks. Known for their spectacular attacks against enemy positions, their actions often go viral online.
The efforts of the Ukrainian forces emphasize the futility faced by Russian assault groups, which are effectively torn apart upon engagement by the 47th Brigade's fighters, as lauded on the Ukrainian army's website.
The harrowing scene of the skirmish, where two Ukrainian soldiers triumphed, was also shared by Anton Herashchenko, a former advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, on his X profile.
The ongoing conflict near Avdiivka persists, coinciding with recent Russian artillery attacks on the towns of Chasiv Yar and Ocheretyn in the Donetsk region. According to Vadim Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Military Regional Administration, the shelling resulted in one fatality and one injury. Additionally, two homes suffered damage in the onslaught.
