Train disaster in Volgograd: 47 hospitalised, including 15 children

According to the latest information from Russia, 47 people were hospitalised after the train disaster in the Volgograd region. Among them are 15 children. Two people are in serious condition, including the truck driver who caused the accident and a passenger who was crushed under a carriage.
Accident in Russia
At approximately 3:35 AM Greenwich Time (6:35 AM local time), the Kazan-Adler train collided with a Kamaz truck. According to information provided in the media, the fault lies with the car driver, who broke traffic rules and drove onto the tracks. The sudden braking of the train caused the carriages to derail.
The accident occurred near the Kotelniki station in the Volgograd region.
Nine carriages derailed, carrying 474 passengers, including 42 children. In total, 812 passengers were on the train. The Interfax agency reported that 140 people were injured, and 30 were taken to the hospital.
