According to Fox News, the British-born comedian was killed when a tree branch fell on him. This tragic accident occurred during the Rock & Cars festival in the French town of Lavaur. As reported by a French newspaper, several people were injured in the accident, but Knight suffered the worst injuries and did not survive.

"He was fit, healthy, and happy. He had great charisma, a sense of humour, and a future ahead of him," says the fundraising page set up by Haley's brother, who lived with Tony for the past fifteen years. The money will be used for funeral and medical expenses.

Tony Knight combined his passion for comedy and his love for dogs in his work. He had an original comedy show "Crazy Dogs and an Englishman," which he performed in Australia and on other continents. He had been in France for just a few days, spending his annual holiday there. Shortly after, he was supposed to go to the UK with his programme.
