It has been reported that Dominic Sessa, whose career gained momentum after his role in the film "Winter Solstice" (five Oscar nominations, one win), is in talks to play Anthony Bourdain.
Lou Howe and Todd Bartels wrote the screenplay for the film. Sessa, named "one of the ten actors to watch" in 2023 by Variety, will also appear in upcoming projects such as Now You See Me 3 and Michael Showalter's Christmas comedy Oh. What. Fun."
It is unclear which period of Bourdain's life the film "Tony" will explore. Bourdain, a beloved television host known for shows like "No Reservations" and "Parts Unknown," took his life in 2018. It should be noted that "Tony" is not the first film project about Bourdain's life.
