Driver ploughs into crowd at Christmas market
According to eyewitness accounts, the driver of a dark BMW ploughed into a crowd of people heading towards the town hall. People began to flee in panic, as reported by "Bild".
Shocking footage circulating on social media depicts a car speeding with high velocity down one of the market's crowded alleyways directly into the crowd. There are reports of dozens of victims from Friday's attack in Magdeburg on the Elbe, including fatalities. However, the exact number of victims has not yet been officially confirmed, and operations at the scene are still ongoing.
