On the afternoon of Wednesday, 9 October, a brutal attack occurred in the Israeli city of Hadera, as reported by local police. The attacker, armed with a knife, assaulted pedestrians in four separate parts of the city before being apprehended. Six individuals sustained injuries.

“We arrived at the scene where there was a seriously injured person with stab wounds in multiple areas of his body and suffered from multisystem trauma. He was semi-conscious; we provided lifesaving medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital. After that, we returned to the scene to continue treating other injured individuals,” recounted one of the paramedics to "The Jerusalem Post".

Magen David Adom, the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross, confirmed that "six people [were injured], including three in serious condition". Four pedestrians attacked by the knifeman were immediately taken to surgery. "One of which was in critical condition, one severely wounded, and two in moderate condition," reported Hillel Yaffe Hospital, where the injured were transported.

Police: It was an attack

The attacker fled on a motorcycle, with the police pursuing him, using a helicopter for assistance. Ultimately, the perpetrator was reportedly shot by an armed civilian, a witness to the fourth attack.

The police confirmed it was a terrorist attack, and the assailant was "neutralised". According to Israeli broadcaster KAN, the perpetrator was Ahmad Jabarin, a 36-year-old Israeli citizen from Umm al-Fahm.
