According to the portal sad24.pl, May frosts will reduce apple harvests in central Russia by 50-70 per cent. Significant losses are also being noted in Ukraine.

The most significant losses due to frosts were recorded in Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Lipetsk, and Tambov regions. For several nights in May, the temperature dropped below -6 degrees Celsius in these areas. As a result, preliminary spring forecasts for grain harvests have been reduced by over 11 million tonnes.

Across the country, the number of berries will also decline. As a result, the portal reported that politicians are preparing citizens for higher prices.
