If water accumulates on the dishes, it can be troublesome for several reasons. Firstly, when you remove dishes from the upper rack, the dripping water often wets those below, meaning that later, every item still needs to be wiped by hand. This makes using the dishwasher more laborious than saving time, which can be avoided.
Water in dishes in the dishwasher – a problem for many users
When removing dishes, water can splash onto your clothes, the floor, cabinets, or kitchen countertops. Although it is clean water, using a dishwasher reduces your workload, not adds to it. This problem can be somewhat mitigated by first removing the bottom rack. However, there's a more effective way to address this issue.
No need for temporary fixes. There's a method that can be applied to most dishwashers. What should you do? First, check if additional wheels are on the sides of the upper dishwasher rack. They are easy to spot as they aren't integrated with any other part of the rail.
How to solve the problem simply?
If your dishwasher has additional wheels allowing for height adjustment of the upper rack, empty the entire appliance first. Pull the upper rack as far as possible and gently lift it from the front to release the front wheel. Then, holding the rack steadily, pull it further out until the rear wheel is at the end of the rail, and lift the rack from the front again to release it.
You're nearly halfway to success. Once you've released the first two wheels from the rail, slide the rack back in, placing the top wheel you previously identified onto the rail. Slide the rack in until the second wheel is also on the rail.
You can now confidently finish your task. However, ensure that the rack is properly secured on the rail by attempting to move it sideways, up, and down. If the entire setup is stable, you can reload the dishes and enjoy a wash cycle without any water remaining on the items.
