During the winter, windows often start to "sweat"—water droplets appear, collecting both on the glass and the frame. Unfortunately, this is a concerning sign that should not be ignored. It may indicate that the room is too damp. This, in turn, can lead to the growth of mould and fungi, and negatively affect the condition of the windows themselves. How can this be prevented? It's simpler than it seems.

Home remedies for window moisture

Before calling a professional who might charge a significant sum for inspecting the windows in your home, it's worth trying home remedies, which will quickly get rid of the moisture. For this, you only need two products: cat litter and a bowl.

Cat litter effectively absorbs water, making it perfect for dealing with moisture. Simply pour it into a bowl and place it on the windowsill. Remember to replace the contents of the container at least once a day.

Eco-friendly ways to eliminate window moisture

Regular ventilation of the home is a simple and often overlooked method of combating moisture. Even on cooler days, it is important to ensure proper air circulation, which contributes to the health and comfort of the residents. This, in turn, limits the growth of mould and fungi, which is crucial for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the rooms.

Not everyone knows that plants can also help deal with moisture. Peace lily, fern, or ivy also improve air quality.
