To surprise your loved ones with a tasty and interesting treat, just opt for the fail-safe combination of simple ingredients. In this case, the spring vegetable pairs wonderfully with puff pastry and basic products from the fridge that you surely have at hand.

These include, of course, ham and yellow cheese. Just arrange them with the asparagus on the puff pastry and season to taste with salt and pepper. Finally, fold the protruding edges of the pastry to the centre and place it in a preheated oven. After 20 minutes of baking at 200 degrees Celsius, the snack is ready to serve.
