School knifeman injures four in assault in Wuppertal, Germany: student assailant apprehended

Disturbing reports are coming out of Germany. Apparently, an assailant armed with a knife has instigated an attack in western Germany - particularly in Wuppertal - at a local educational institution.
The assailant is identified as a middle school student in Wuppertal. He perpetrated the unfathomable act at around 9:00 am GMT. The reason behind his knife attack on fellow students is still unclear.
At this point, there are four known victims. One student is known to have been critically wounded. All victims were transported to nearby hospitals.
Dramatic events unfold in Germany
The police have confirmed that the knifeman has been apprehended. Subsequent to the attack, the school building along with its perimeters were inspected, to ascertain if the young attacker acted independently.
In the midst of the chaos, a helicopter was seen hovering over Wuppertal. Teachers promptly gathered the students in classrooms, and a dedicated assembly point was established for parents to wait nearby the school until the police operations ended - as conveyed by the source, Polishradio24.pl.
