Smartwatches and smartbands have firmly established themselves on the shelves of electronics stores and our wrists. Every respectable gadget manufacturer has one in their product range, and meanwhile, everyone is looking for newer and more exciting solutions. All of this is done to pursue innovation and reduce the size of devices. After all, some people may want to be smart but are waiting specifically for bright rings so they don't have to part with their favourite traditional watch.
Is the so-called bright ring the next big thing? It's hard to answer that question because this segment of devices is just beginning to take off. The first models are already on sale and are priced attractively enough that many people can afford to experiment. We check out what's on store shelves.
Bemi Revo
The first is the bright ring, Bemi Revo, which the manufacturer describes as intelligent. It is made of ceramic material and stainless steel. It features a pedometer, heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen level, and sleep monitoring. It also has a Bluetooth module for transmitting data to a smartphone app, allowing you to monitor your health constantly. An excellent addition is the ability to control your smartphone's camera, meaning you can say goodbye to the self-timer.
On the outside, the Bemi Revo looks like an elegant ring, making it a perfect complement to your outfit. It is available in several colours and sizes. The manufacturer states that the device weighs only 5 grams. The outer layer is made of polished ceramic, and the inner layer is made of medical-grade stainless steel 316. The ring meets IP68 standards, making it waterproof and dustproof.
How long does the battery last? The manufacturer states that the charging station has a battery capacity of 400 mAh, which can fully charge the ring in one hour. A fully charged station allows the ring's battery to be replenished up to 15 times. At the same time, the ring itself can last up to 7 days on a single charge.
Ice Ring
The intelligent ring Ice Ring has features similar to the Bemi Revo, including heart rate, blood oxygen level, activity, and stress level monitoring. It differs in its construction as titanium is used, making it weigh only 3 grams. The Ice Ring meets IP68 standards for use in the rain and handwashing.
It comes in three colours – black, gold, and silver – and several sizes, so you can easily match it to your style and taste. The lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 20 mAh provides a runtime of up to 6 days. Charging is done via a magnetic base and takes just 30 minutes.
