After leaving the polling station in West Palm Beach, Florida, the former president, who is seeking re-election, took a moment to speak with reporters. "I feel very confident; this was my best campaign," Trump said.
"We have a wonderful country, but it is a country that is in trouble, big trouble. In many different ways. We have to get it all together. Right now, we have people coming across the border, significant inflation, and it's not entirely perfect," he emphasised.
Trump certain of victory?
According to the former president, Republican voters are more motivated to vote in the election.
"I might regret what I'm saying, but I heard we are doing very well," he added. "Democrats may go home, but Republicans should stay in those queues and do their thing," he joked.
Donald Trump also stated that this was probably his last presidential campaign. "Sadness, yes, but I feel that today we will celebrate a huge victory," he emphasised.
The candidate on possible defeat
The presidential candidate was also asked if he would accept his potential defeat in the elections. "If it's a fair election, then of course I will accept it," he assured. "So far, it looks good; they seem legitimate. These papers are such that they cannot be forged," Trump said.
Meanwhile, the Republican vice-presidential candidate J.D. Vance cast his vote in Cincinnati, Ohio. He appeared at the polling station with his family - wife Usha and children.
