Russians intensify assault on Selydove amid heavy resistance

The Russians are attempting to capture Selydove. They are deploying significant numbers of infantry to the battle to achieve this. "On this section of the front alone, over the previous day, within the area of responsibility, soldiers of the Ukrainian National Guard neutralised 273 opponents," reports the Ukrainian military.

National Guard spokesperson Ruslan Muzyczuk reported that the Russians are trying to combine assault actions on the flanks of Selydove with a frontal attack on the city. The enemy resorts to artillery bombardment and air attacks with anti-aircraft missiles, he conveyed.

The assault operation on Selydove is thought to be part of a larger plan in the Donetsk region. The likely increase in Russian actions is related to the impending cooling and autumn weather, which leads to the formation of rasputitsa (mud – editor's note), hindering operations of heavy units.

In just one day, the National Guard soldiers repelled 17 Russian attack attempts in this direction.

"On this section of the front alone, over the previous day, within the area of responsibility, soldiers of the Ukrainian National Guard neutralised 273 invaders: 125 irreversibly, with 148 enemy wounded," Muzyczuk told the Ukrainska Pravda portal.

Additionally, maps from DeepState analysts confirm that the Russians are conducting intensive operations in this area. However, these have not yet yielded significant results.
