Russian propagandist claims Europe lacks true nuclear defence

Prominent Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov is once again attempting to threaten the West. In his programme on the state channel Rossiya 1, he mocked declarations by European politicians who advocate for further support for Ukraine. Solovyov claimed that although Europe has "nuclear bombs," it does not possess a "nuclear umbrella."

Much of the information conveyed by Russian media and government representatives is likely untrue. Such reports may be part of an information warfare campaign by the Russian Federation.

Solovyov praised the Kremlin's decision to continue allocating vast sums to armaments, arguing that the military potential of Europe and Russia "is incomparable."

One of his interlocutors noted that, in Europe, nuclear weapons are held by the United Kingdom and France. "They have nuclear bombs, but they don't have a nuclear umbrella," replied Solovyov.

Furthermore, according to him, France lacks the capability to deploy its nuclear warheads effectively. "Are they planning to launch them with a slingshot? How do they intend to transport them? Well, of course, it's Macron; he will surely come up with something," he scoffed.
