Russian missiles shot down in Dnipropetrovsk; debris injures children

During the night from Monday to Tuesday, the Russians launched two Iskander missiles towards the Dnipropetrovsk region. The rockets were shot down, but the debris caused significant damage. Several people were injured, including a one-month-old infant.

Two Russian missiles were shot down by Ukrainian air defence, but their debris fell on buildings and infrastructure, causing serious damage and fire. Children are among the injured.

"The one-month-old boy is in satisfactory condition and will be treated as an outpatient. The 17-year-old boy is in moderate condition in the hospital. A 68-year-old man and three women aged 32, 36, and 56 were injured. One was hospitalized, and doctors assess her condition as moderate," wrote Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, on Telegram.

Debris damaged 15 cars and shattered windows in private houses, apartment buildings, and hospitals. Municipal services are dealing with the aftermath of the attack.

Ukraine's Air Forces reported that the occupying Russian forces used two Iskander cruise missiles in the attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region. They were launched from Crimea and shot down by the Ukrainian defence.

Air Forces Chief General Mykola Oleshchuk also informed that close to midnight (GMT), the Russians launched four drones over northern Ukraine. "Two were brought down by mobile fire units of the Chernihiv region's defence forces, and the other two crashed," he posted on the Telegram platform.
