As "The Independent" reports, the British Ministry of Defence informs about the disruption of the GPS signal in the RAF plane carrying Defence Minister Grant Shapps back from Poland.

Russians disrupted the signal in a British plane

UK’s Defence Minister Grant Shapps was in Poland until Thursday. That day, together with Polish Defence Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, he oversaw the Dragon-24 exercises at the Orzysz training ground.

Deborah Haynes, a journalist for Sky News, reported that the jamming could have occurred from the Kaliningrad Oblast, near which the British plane was flying.

As quoted by British officials before "The Independent", "the RAF is well prepared to deal with such situations, however, it creates unnecessary risk for civilian flights as well as posing a danger to human life". Russia's move was described as "recklessly irresponsible".

According to the British Ministry of Defence, the disturbances lasted for about half an hour. The incident was named an act of electronic warfare.
