The Ukrainian president said in Madrid at a joint conference with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez that the most pressing issue today is that Russia deploys over 3,000 guided bombs each month targeting civilians. He added Ukraine anticipates that number could rise to 3,500 next month.
Zelensky emphasised that Ukraine lacks air defence systems and missiles to repel these attacks.
In his opinion, Ukraine needs at least seven additional Patriot air defence systems, two of which would be allocated exclusively for Kharkiv. The Ukrainian president also stated that pressure must be put on Western partners to obtain such a large amount of weaponry.
