Rolls-Royce Cullinan debuts daring facelift with a modern twist
One of the most luxurious SUVs in the world has undergone a facelift. The visual changes are significant and may not be to everyone's taste. It must be admitted that the stylists have played boldly.
In recent years, Rolls-Royce has increasingly abandoned conservative design in favour of more modern solutions. The refreshed Cullinan is another example of this. The luxury SUV has gained a new face. The changes are so significant that remaining indifferent to them is impossible.
Of course, the most important aspect is the slightly narrower headlights, which reach the bumper and are adorned with LED daytime running strips. The bumper itself has also been drawn more boldly and sportily. The only classic element left here is the sizable grill, which is... illuminated.
The rear looks more conservative. It has been limited to larger exhaust tips and a changed light signature. The whole is complemented by wheels in bold patterns and sizes reaching almost 58 cm (23 inches). And what about the interior?
It is still quite traditional inside, although much depends on the configuration chosen by the client. Upholstery in pink leather is certainly possible. The only limits are the buyer's imagination and the depth of his wallet.
Speaking of upholstery, the new Duality Twill option is worth mentioning, indicating 107,000 perforations with diameters of roughly 0.8 and 1.3 mm (0.03 and 0.05 inches). Holes, made by hand, create fanciful patterns on interior elements. The new Cullinan can also be recognised by its updated multimedia and digital clocks, which mimic the classic well.
The most important aspect, however, is found under the hood. The 6.75-litre V12 remains in place, and in the Black Badge version, it generates up to 600 horsepower. May it remain so for as long as possible.
