Professor warns of greater conflict if Russia prevails in Ukraine

American historian Professor Timothy Snyder believes that another war will break out if Russia wins. He pointed out what he considers the West's mistakes. He said Western countries had made bad decisions, so the war was still ongoing.
American historian Professor Timothy Snyder on Polsat News said that the war lasted as long as it did because Western countries had done too little and too slowly for the Ukrainians. He is convinced this war could have ended in 2022. As he claims, the West made terrible decisions, and the war is ongoing.
According to Professor Snyder, Western countries erroneously assume that the conflict in Ukraine can end without a significant defeat of Russia. He assessed that decisions regarding, among other things, subsequent aid packages for Ukraine are made too late.
He argued the war was waged by people, including the Western people, who decided how much or how little they did, but their choices were shaped by their way of talking about it. Therefore, they should have discussed what else Russia needs to lose. He is inevitable. Only in this way will the war end, and another war will break out if Russia wins. Professor Snyder continued that if the West wanted the war to end, the only logical way of thinking was what Western governments must have done for Russia to lose.
The Russian offensive continues
In an interview published on Saturday by the AFP agency, President Volodymyr Zelensky said he expects Russia to launch a larger offensive in the north and east of Ukraine. He added, however, that despite the Russians' progress, the situation of Ukrainian forces is better than a week earlier.
The intense attack by the Russian army occurred on May 10. - They started an operation that may consist of many waves. And this is the first one - announced Zelensky in the interview conducted on Friday.
However, the president assessed that despite significant progress by the Russians, the situation of Ukrainian forces on the front is now better than when the invaders unexpectedly crossed the border a week ago.
Zelensky said that the enemy wanted to attack Kharkiv, the second-largest city in Ukraine. The Russians already failed to capture Kharkiv during an attack in 2022.
