Roses are one of the most beautiful garden plants. If you grow them in your garden and want them to bloom for as long as possible, prepare this simple fertiliser. You most likely already have the necessary ingredient at home.

They inspire musicians, painters, poets, and writers. Depending on the colour, they symbolise love, passion, and even innocence. They emit a beautiful fragrance, which is considered an aphrodisiac. No wonder so many people decide to cultivate them. What plant are we talking about? Roses. What to do to make them bloom as long as possible? Learn a recipe for a simple conditioner.

How to care for roses?

Roses are beautiful but exceptionally capricious and demanding flowers. They should be planted in a warm, sunny, and well-ventilated place. The soil is also important. It should be fertile, permeable, and rich in humus with a neutral or slightly acidic pH.

How often should you water roses? Every two weeks, using a large amount of soft water. Both standing water and rainwater will work. Once a year, it is worth performing a radical pruning, which not only strengthens the plant but also makes it resistant to adverse weather conditions.

Pour water and boil. Roses will bloom until late autumn

Rose bushes have a high demand for nutrients such as potassium and magnesium. They need regular fertilisation to develop properly. For this purpose, you can use ready-made conditioners or prepare one yourself.

What fertiliser for roses will be the best? Gardeners recommend a potato conditioner, which will provide them with magnesium, potassium, and vitamin C. Each of these elements will prolong the blooming period and make them resistant to diseases and pests.

Preparation is ridiculously simple. Take a pot and put 5 potatoes in it. Pour in roughly 1 litre of water and boil. When they are soft, turn off the gas and wait until the tubers cool completely. Transfer the prepared solution to a spray bottle and pour it directly onto the roots. Use it every two weeks throughout the blooming period, and the roses will delight with their appearance even in late autumn.
