Queen Sonja of Norway was taken to the hospital following a skiing incident. The wife of King Harald V is currently dealing with cardiac issues, which have led to the rescheduling of her official engagements.
Queen Sonja of Norway was admitted to the hospital, as the Norwegian royal family confirmed. According to the NTB agency, the 87-year-old experienced atrial fibrillation while skiing. Despite initial concerns, the palace has assured that the queen's condition is not serious.
Queen Sonja was discharged from the hospital in Lillehammer once her heart rhythm returned to normal. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre expressed his support, wishing the queen a speedy recovery and future mountain trips.
I wish the queen a speedy recovery and hope she will soon be ready for new skiing trips - he wrote in a statement.
