A source from Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, reported that around 20 soldiers were detained on 13th September and transported to the army security office. The main reason for the arrest was violating Kim's personal security protocols.

The leader's security team concluded that "Kim’s security team felt the soldiers lacked focus and appeared sloppy during shooting drills, potentially endangering the leader’s life." This incident highlights North Korea's great importance on the security of high-ranking leaders and how harshly any shortcomings in this area are dealt with.

Glancing towards the supreme leader during live-fire exercises is risky and could lead to accidents. Kim’s security personnel harshly criticized the soldiers for such inappropriate behaviour, explained a source in an interview with the "Daily NK."

According to the source, the soldiers upset Kim Jong Un's security team, even though they were aware of the planned visit and had prior rehearsals.

They were blamed for inadequate mental preparation for serving in the special forces base and improper understanding of the issued operational orders. - The incident relates to Kim’s concerns expressed after the inspection - the source told the portal dailynk.com.

Kim Jong Un expressed his concerns about the soldiers' behaviour, placing full blame on the commanders, which only worsened the situation. According to the source, unit commanders and those involved in these exercises can expect severe consequences.

Meanwhile, the Army Security Office issued notifications emphasising the need for strict adherence to Kim Jong Un's protection rules. The notifications also highlight the need for intensified training and ideological education and strengthening discipline within the army ranks to prevent similar incidents in the future.
