The Russians carried out a night attack on Ukraine. Targets were also located near the Polish border. "It was a very busy night for the entire air defence system in Poland," reported the Operational Command of the Armed Forces early Saturday morning.

"We inform you that due to the reduced level of threat from Russian missile strikes on areas bordering our territory, the operation of Polish and allied air forces in Polish airspace has ended, and the activated forces and resources have returned to standard operational activities," the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command reported just before midnight GMT on Saturday.

According to information from Ukraine, the attack targets were located, among other places, in the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, and Khmelnytskyi regions and in Kyiv itself.

A very busy night

The military does not hide that the massive attack on Ukraine meant that "the night was very busy for the entire air defence system in Poland."

"It was a very busy night for the entire air defence system in Poland, as the massive missile attack of the long-range aviation of the Russian Federation covered the entire territory of Ukraine, including the regions bordering Poland," informs the Operational Command.

"The Polish Armed Forces continuously monitor the situation on the territory of Ukraine and remain in constant readiness to ensure the security of Polish airspace," it added.
